Comunidad Valencia – These are the groups to be vaccinated from 24.3.2021 onwards

The reactivation of immunisation for the educational community will begin next Friday.

The launch of the vaccination is to see, once again, the light at the end of the tunnel of the pandemic. Inoculation with Astrazeneca, Pfizer and Moderna will resume tomorrow in the three field hospitals in the Valencia Region. Moreover, almost 70% of the Region of Valencia has not registered any infection in two weeks.

Of the 132,000 Astrazeneca doses available to the Conselleria de Sanitat, some 90,000 will be applied to teachers and professionals in the educational community from next Friday. In fact, Education has asked schools to update their lists in order to vaccinate those over 55 years of age. The rest, some 30,000 injections, will be for other emergency service groups who had been left out due to their age being over 55 and who will begin to be immunised tomorrow.

In addition, the first doses of the Moderna vaccine, some 16,620, will be administered tomorrow to people over 80 years of age. In this regard, it should also be noted that the vaccine has already achieved a 93% reduction in the number of infections in nursing homes in two months.

On the other hand, the Pfizer vaccine will be injected in second doses in nursing homes; in first and second doses to health workers of the Valencian Health Service (SVS); in second doses to private health workers; in second doses to day centres for people with functional diversity; in first and second doses to people with severe disabilities and over 80 years of age (56,000) and in first doses to social service workers.
